Riders enjoy the Bluebell Wood Ride

(May 22, 2011)

striding outFour Kesteven junior riders took part in a ride through a bluebell wood near Ulceby, Lincs as part of the Lincolnshire Fun Day.  The heady scent of wild garlic and the vivid colours of the bluebells made it a ride to remember.  The group took 2 ponies, Rosie and Roma, and the plucky 4 volunteers completed the ride twice to allow all the children to participate. Afterwards the children to part in a "have a go" countryside challenge - completing an obstacle course on the ponies.  After a well earned cuppa, the volunteers and ponies returned to Hough on the Hill.
